Prom 2021 Participation Agreement & Guidelines
We are so excited that you have chosen to attend the Arizona Homeschool Prom. We look forward to a wonderful evening with you and your guests from around the state. This Participation Agreement & Guidelines is put in place to ensure the enjoyment and safety for all.
By purchasing a Prom ticket you are agreeing to the following:
If an attendee is removed from Prom due to a violation of this Agreement, there will be no refunds and the attendee may not come the following year. Chaperones reserve the right to make decisions regarding this agreement.
By purchasing a Prom ticket you are agreeing to the following:
- Attendees are required to be homeschooled students who are Juniors or Seniors in high school at the time of registration. Attendees may invite guests who do not fit that category, however the guest must list the invitee on the registration form. Guests do not need to be homeschooled, but must be 15 years old by the date of the Prom. Guest who have graduated from high school are permitted to attend as well, but may not be older than the age of 20.
- Orange Tree Resort has welcomed us for this event. Please respect the facilities and its rules. Orange Tree Resort requires (at this time) the use of masks from the parking lot, through the lobby, to our designated Prom space. In our Prom space which includes the ballroom, the ballroom lobby, and the outdoor area for pictures, masks are OPTIONAL.
- Do not come if you are sick or have been sick within the last 48 hours. This includes cold symptoms, fever, coughing, vomiting, and diarrhea. If you have been exposed to COVID 19, 10 days needs to have passed, or you must have a current negative test along with no symptoms. Refunds will be issued due to illness.
- This is a chaperoned event. Please respect the adult supervisors, employees of the Orange Tree Resort, and all who have worked hard to create a fun, memorable evening.
- Please check in when you arrive and check out when you leave. No attendee may leave the Prom area in the middle of the prom without notifying a chaperone. Once an attendee or guest has left the property, they will not be allowed to return. Attendees may not stay or book a hotel room on the property of Orange Tree Resort.
- Arizona Homeschool Prom is a formal event. We kindly request all attendees to dress formally. This means:
- Gentlemen – Please wear a suit and tie or tuxedo
- Ladies – Please wear a long formal gown
- We recognize that each homeschool family is its own independent school and Arizona Homeschool Prom is bringing hundreds of these schools together for one wonderful event. Every “school” and the parents in charge have different expectations on what is appropriate for their teens to wear. We are trusting the parents and attendees to use discretion and be thoughtful when shopping for attire for the prom. We are asking everyone to dress formally, however, there is not a defined dress code for this event.
- PDA (with the exception of hugging and hand holding) is not allowed at this event.
- Provocative dancing or any dancing that creates unsafe conditions is prohibited.
- Alcohol, drugs, smoking, vaping, and all weapons are prohibited.
- All attendees are required to dress and use the restrooms in conformance with one’s biological sex. No intimate displays of affection between students of the same gender will be permitted on or off the dance floor at this event.
- Attendees and parents will not hold Arizona Homeschool Prom, Orange Tree Resort, volunteer parent chaperones, and the prom team liable in the event of accident or injury. All attendees and parents will be responsible to make restitution in the event that something is damaged.
